Pharmaceutical companies are increasingly looking to use big data to enable them to be more efficient and effective as a result, in all areas of their business operations.

With this we see a huge variety of skills within Big Data, where the biggest demand was for Data Managers, with volumes rocketing by 119% year on year. Other trends emerging include:

  • Business Analysts remain the most heavily recruited role, however, year on year activity grew only by 8.9%.
  • The UK holds the majority of vacancies with 27% of the total.
  • Roche remains the biggest recruiter with year on year activity up by 23.3%.
