As the Covid crisis continues, and the furlough scheme ends, the impact on the economy looks set to be vast. Within this report, we have analyzed the recruitment activity throughout September in
terms of professional, managerial, and scientific vacancies posted where, despite the end of the furlough scheme, there has been a marked uptick across the South. And while the impact of the first
lockdown is clearly visible – vacancies dropped by 73% in April and May, a quite spectacular collapse – by September the differential year-on-year was only 13%.
