When it comes to new job creation, the London economy continues to surge, despite the political turbulence. Key trends emerging include:

  • London outpaced the rest of the country in 2018, where the share of new vacancies created in the capital increased from 45.2% to 46.2.%
  • The biggest growth within London has been within Technology sector, with activity up 39.6%.

However, banks still make up seven of the top twenty companies by total vacancies, including all the top three.
