1. The number of vacancies across all industries in England and Wales in the 12-month period ended 30 June 2017 was virtually identical to the previous 12-month period, down just 0.19%.

2. Every month in H2 2016 except November had fewer vacancies than the same month in 2015, with Q3 2016 having 9.3% fewer new openings than Q3 2015.

3. April 2017 had 7.1% fewer vacancies than April 2016 and 22.3% fewer than the previous month; however, a strong bounce-back in May saw Q2 2017 close 3.2% up on Q2 2016.
