While the impact of the first lockdown across Southern England is clearly visible – vacancies dropped by 73% in April and May, a quite spectacular collapse – by September the differential year-on-year was only 13%. In terms of professional vacancies, the areas hardest hit have been in Sales & Marketing, where in terms of the monthly average year-on-year, sales roles are down 53% and marketing positions have fallen 52%.
