The number of professional vacancies in Birmingham has decreased by 3%, marking the lowest level recorded since 2019.

The first quarter of the year was the busiest from Q1 2023, but July 2024 saw a peak in vacancies, posting 1,661 professional roles.

The biggest vacancy growth was seen among Legal and Accountant professionals, with increases of 18.9% and 16.4%, respectively.

Across sectors, Accountancy posted the highest number of vacancies, up by an impressive 31.3% compared to 2023.

KPMG has emerged as the most active recruiter, recording a remarkable 270% growth in professional roles vacancies.
