Finextra highlighted Vacancysoft’s latest report on UK Finance Labour Market Trends, created in collaboration with Morgan McKinley.
Fintech vacancies surged to 12,519 in 2024, up from 8,672 the previous year, driven by increased venture capital funding, AI adoption, and industry fragmentation. The sector has become a hotspot for talent, especially in commercial roles, with Wise seeing a 225% rise in vacancies to 335 and Ebury Partners posting a 148% increase to 286. Business development and sales roles led the hiring boom, making up 1,277 job openings. In contrast, banking vacancies fell 11% to 37,901, reflecting restructuring and regulatory pressures.
