Pan-European vacancies in 2024 are on track to be 13.2% higher than in 2023 and significantly higher than pre-pandemic levels as Life Sciences picks up after the slowdown last year.

July was the busiest month of the year so far, similarly, when comparing Q3 year on year, there was a significant increase in 2024 compared to last year.

Germany leads the way, and has had the most vacancies in life sciences in 2024 so far, whilst the biggest year on year increase has been in France. (+78%)

R&D is the largest area being hired for, and has also had the biggest uplift, of 62%. In contrast there has been a drop in clinical vacancies of 13.7%.

Novo Nordisk were the leading recruiters within Life Sciences in 2023 but have seen vacancies fall in 2024. Similarly, of the top 10 from last year, only Merck are set to record more vacancies this year. So which companies have been the star performers in 2024 so far?
