The media sector in the North West continues to grow, bucking national trends!

Traditionally London has dominated the Media sector, equally projections for 2023 indicate a potential negative year-on-year fall of 52%, according to labour market data analysts Vacancysoft.
SEO/PPC role emerged as the most sought-after in 2021 and maintained this through 2022. However, this is now expected to fall in 2023, with a forecast of the year-on-year change being down 53.7%,
The North West is on track to post a second consecutive year-on-year rise in 2023 (the only region to achieve this), where its national share is set to rise to 7.8% as a result.
“The regionalisation of jobs in the sector, which started with the BBC relocating to Salford City has gathered pace, with the North West continuing to grow despite headwinds elsewhere,” according to Vacancysoft CEO, James Chaplin.
In terms of companies to watch, we would keep an eye on the Telegraph group, with volumes forecast to be 129.6% up on last year.
