The virus’ spread and consequent restrictions contributed to a big drop in Q2 2020 vacancies in the accountancy, financial services, and commerce and industry sectors right after the UK’s first lockdown was announced at the end of March 2020. Figures from Vacancysoft indicate that vacancies have slowly picked up in Q3 but are struggling to recover to pre-pandemic heights.
